Community Giving Guidelines and Applications
At Clemens Food Group, we believe in stewardship. We believe in taking care of our people, our animals, our environment, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with local communities around us.
Since 1895, we have supported local communities through product donations, volunteering, and financial contributions. Our company believes in the Christian principle of tithing and we do so by donating 10% of our pre-tax income to communities in which we live, work and do business each and every year. Those communities include Hatfield, Pa., Tyrone, Pa., Coldwater, Mich., and our 30+ farm locations.

Community Donation Application Guideline
All requests for community support in the form of product donations, charitable giving or sponsorships for consideration by Clemens Food Group, or any of its affiliated brands, must be submitted through our online application system. Those proposals meeting specific guidelines, and further our strategic goals and objectives, will be considered for funding. Once an application has been submitted, CFG will contact you via email on approval or denial within 10 business days. We do not accept applications via email, fax, mail, or in-person.
50/50 Product Donations
CFG’s product donation program is based on a 50/50 program (a case is donated for each case that is purchased) up to a $1,000 yearly maximum contribution from CFG per organization. Organizations wanting to participate in the 50/50 Production Donation must be a 501(c)(3) IRS tax-exempt organization.

Corporate Charitable Giving
CFG provides charitable giving on a local, regional and national level ensuring that our commitment extends from the local communities CFG serves. Only registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations operating in CFG’s areas are eligible to apply. Organizations must fall into Clemens’ giving key focus areas.
Local Sponsorships
Clemens Food Group is proud to support local charitable events organized by qualified organizations, such as community events or walks that align with our focus areas. We provide financial support through sponsorships, typically ranging from $250 to $1,000. However, funds are limited, and once the annual budget is allocated, we encourage organizations to reapply the following year.
To be eligible for consideration, requests must align with one or more of sustainability commitments listed within the application. While meeting these criteria ensures your request will be reviewed, it does not guarantee approval or funding.
Gift In-Kind
CFG considers requests for in-kind donations to help community and youth organizations in our neighborhoods. Gifts include company and branded product baskets, as well as coupons.
